From June of last year to February of this year, the company's subscribers have increased from approximately 85.5 million to about 91 million for the first time.

The government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) may soon launch its 5G service. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has allocated a spectrum worth ₹61,000 crore to BSNL. The company's 5G service may be launched from the capital city, Delhi.

A media report has stated that BSNL has received spectrum in premium bands such as 700 MHz and 3,300 MHz, which is crucial for 5G. The 5G network of private telecom companies like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel is present in large parts of the country. To compete with these companies, BSNL needs to launch 5G services soon. Recently, Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia mentioned that BSNL has added 5.5 million new subscribers in the last six to seven months. He stated that efforts are being made to bring the company back to profitability and increase its subscriber count.

A recent announcement from BSNL stated that "All circles and units of the company will participate in this campaign." Enhancing fiber broadband (FTTH) dependability, improving mobile network quality, and quickly resolving consumer concerns are the goals. Customer reviews will be gathered in April via the business's website, social media accounts, and other platforms. Robert J. Ravi, the chairman of the business, will then consider this input. Beginning in June, BSNL intends to transition its 4G network to 5G. About 89,000 4G stations have already been installed, and the company plans to launch about 100,000 more by June.

For the first time, the company's subscriber base grew from about 85.5 million to roughly 91 million between last June and this February. The business has cut expenses while increasing revenue. BSNL is getting ready to improve its offerings. April has been declared 'Customer Service Month' by the company in recognition of this. Customers nationwide who use the company's services will be asked for input throughout this time in order to enhance their experience.
