Mahindra unveils the NU IQ platform:
Mahindra has unveiled the NUI IQ platform on the occasion of India's 79th Independence Day. This new monocoque platform is capable of producing cars with various body styles and powertrains, and cars of any size can be developed on it. In fact, the upcoming Vision S, Vision X, Vision T, and Vision SXT will also be built on this platform, which have been revealed in concept form. Here are the features of this new platform:
Mahindra's NUU IQ platform is quite flexible and can accommodate a variety of powertrain vehicles. It can be equipped with petrol/diesel as well as all-electric powertrains. Mahindra claims that the seating position of the vehicles built on this platform will be the most impressive, and to provide proper SUV vibes, these vehicles will have a ground clearance of 227 millimeters.
Size and off-road capability
Not only that, this platform is also capable of developing cars with different sizes and body styles. Cars ranging from 4.3 meters to 4.5 meters in length can be built on it with a wheelbase of 2.6 meters. Safety and Handling
Mahindra has always been associated with safety, and the firm now claims that SUVs built on this platform have a high probability of earning a 5-star safety certification from Euro NCAP and Global NCAP. Like luxury cars, this new platform has a 5-link rear suspension, which makes it possible for any vehicle to handle any obstacle with comfort.
